This Old Scout Single Barrel is rustic all around with lovely dark notes running through it. The aroma is chewy dark fruit sweetness paired with heavy oak. The palate is heavier on the oak and spice, but propped up with a dense dark fruit.

Redemption Rye’s goal is to bring back the classic American Rye cocktail. While the Federal law states that a whiskey must be 51% rye grain to be classified as a rye, we chose to push our grain content to 95%. This not only pushes the flavor forward, but it also magnifies the unique profile of the rye grains.

Pleasantly sweet to the taste with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise.

Here is another ridiculous cask-strength rum from the wonderful Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados. This is drawn from 12 year old rum aged in ex-bourbon and bottled at full cask strength of 118 proof.
