This select, 13YO Old Scout Single Barrel is a single barrel release distilled from 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malt. A low-rye bourbon mash bill from TN. Using a continuous column distillation process. Each bottling of Old Scout Single Barrel Select is unique in age and proof, with a 13-year minimum. Despite the proof, this whiskey delivers creamy butterscotch, and tree nut flavors. Followed by a delicious and smooth finish.

Fruity and rich. There are lovely notes of spiced honey and mixed peels, a little malmsey, hazelnut and a touch of cut fruit with toasty oak providing a backbone. The Finish is quite sweet with butterscotch and dry oak spice.

Medium amber in color, with gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas. Mid-palate is smooth with tones of maple, oak, and nutmeg. Finish is long, dry, and satiny with a light toffee flavor.
